Pros

Remote working and nothing more

Cons

This has been the worst of all of my job experiences; I wish I could remove that very part of my life. 1. The person at the top appears to want to create middle management but actually doesn't want it at all. He doesn’t want to delegate any authority. He wants everything to be directly dependent on him. There is zero delegation. They hired me as a so-called mid-manager as I have much more experience from all the developers there, but never mentioned it to anyone. He came and asked me questions but also secretly had separate communications with the people supposedly under my responsibility. I heard about the things he said to them later on. He wants everything to be dependent on him but also wants someone to take the initiative and sort things out. 2. The goals/outputs are not clear. The people at the top are incapable of expressing what they want. I have to ask 50 times, and they still can't say anything useful despite talking a lot. Managers here lack communication skills. No specific job definition. 3. There is no prioritization. That's why no output is produced because everyone's focus constantly changes. If there is a task, they start writing potential scenarios up to the 10th step on Slack channels before the first step is even completed with no rock solid plan. No one ever knows where to start. Everyone is confused. Then the first boss, he sits down, and write their own code and complaining in the meantime that he has to do it all???? 4. Micromanagement is everywhere. It prevents people from doing their jobs. The bosses, get involved in everything they shouldn’t. 5. The primary boss has unprofessional attitudes and behaviors. When things don't go the way they want (because their system doesn't work, and we have to take the initiative), he sulks and pout. He doesn’t want anyone to shine and steal his thunder. It's kind of funny.

Pros

If you are young, you will be employed.

Cons

A company run entirely based on personal whims. There is no such thing as management. Micromanagement is at its peak. You can suddenly find yourself fired without warning. Aggressive attitude, unplanned leadership. You can end up without a project from one day to the next, and still be asked, “So what did you do today?” Easily the worst years of my life.
