Pros
Standardization, community outreach programs, snack kiosk in break room, there are a few really talented IT veterans that I enjoyed working with, casual dress
Cons
Below industry and regional pay, poor work/life balance, no chance for being promoted from within, inexperienced IT managers hire based on certs and not actual knowledge, they hired someone who blatanly lied on their resume because they liked their personality and the rest of IT has to support, mentor and pick up that guy's slack, micomanaging and seagull managers are the norm, contractors have little chance of being brought on full time, Tech Center facility is infested with roaches and in a dangerous area and the HVAC never works, no training, no mentoring, no knowledge share, products are deployed to the associates without telling Support or even teaching them how to support them, frontline Support reps have no industry knowledge causing ticket churn and cannot resolve anything, your bonus is based on management's discretion ... hope you are good at kissing butt
