Pros

Plenty of work. Because they piggyback off GE, FieldCore has more work than they can handle. You will be busier than you want.

Cons

Unethical compensation of employees. FieldCore has taken the General Electric name and run it through the mud. From a company that used to be one of the absolute best to work for in the world, to a business who's structure is setup, at almost every level, to cut the throat of every manager's subordinates so to achieve personal bonuses to satisfy the desire for a competitive year end wage, due to sub-par salaries. However this only goes as far as anyone with subordinates. If you are on the bottom as a technician, the company will pay you the smallest wage possible as well as non-living per-diem for food and incidentals. Nothing about FieldCore is ethical or attempting to be competitive, alternatively they are simply trying to fill positions. Whereas employers of other companies used to strive to work at GE, FieldCore is now the absolute bottom of the barrel for power gen employment. They are now training the desperate and unaware for a move up to the competition. All the above mentions becomes exponentially and painfully obvious when working for FieldCore in areas such as Asia, Africa and South America where livable wages are not even paid. I am disgusted with what I have experienced here, especially knowing what FieldCore once was less than just a decade ago.
