Pros

Many different properties if relocation is required (acceptance is harder) Some property owners can make it worth it

Cons

Paid less than peers with more experience even when you are considered a star Trying to save money by staying understaffed. Too much unnecessary busy work, especially when a full staff is denied (only after accepting the position). 12-17 hour days without a break the norm (and on smaller properties) Took away the deciding factor for employment retention: company paid insurance premiums Discounts for onsite living based on regional 's attitude. You could pay more for a one bedroom than another employee pays for a three. Vendors almost NEVER receive timely payment So much emphasis on "training compliance" (though some is necessary), actual duties are not given attention the require and many supervisors rule with fear and unprofessional attitudes (putting that gently) Large amounts of theft unpunished but all whistleblowers are punished severely even with facts No communication to property about anything. You may stay because you love your boss and then the following day everyone is in different places.
