Pros
The experience gained through the job is great. The people you work with are good for the most part. Birthdays and new hires are celebrated. The training is very in depth; expect to be reading a lot your first few days. Company outings are fun too.
Cons
This position is "Emergency Essential." Rain, snow, sleet, hail, flood, hurricane, global pandemic, etc., you're required to be at work no matter what and the business rarely, if ever, closes for bad weather or anything else. They'll give you a two hour grace period to show up or you have to use your PTO time if you can't make it so be aware of that when applying.
Management needs a complete overhaul.
Favoritism is definitely played and some employees are held to different standards than others. Supervisor is also unprofessional. Multiple times, the supervisor has said certain tasks are "beneath" them. Supervisor won't lift a finger to help employees that are overwhelmed with work and then questions why there is so much work not getting done. If the supervisor is having a bad day, chances are you will too. The only time management cares about overwhelmed employees is if a client complains about something not being done fast enough and there's a fear of being reprimanded by the CEO. There is definitely a "do as I say not as I do" mentality about management here.
Also if you want take off around the holidays, good luck. The supervisor takes extended vacations around every holiday so chances are, you can't.
