Pros

- Decent pay - Friendly coworkers - Nice office - Zero stress

Cons

Inaction, nothing gets done. Lots of talk of doing things from leadership and then ... not doing things. Upper mgmt appears to not have coherent plans. At some point we presumably run out of money if we don't deliver and I guess then we do layoffs and/or go out of business. Hearing the same things from a lot of coworkers: having little to show for their time there, at what point does it make sense to get a new job, lack of career growth, confusion why no one high up will make/execute a plan, why is this allowed to continue/shouldn't someone be fired by now

Pros

Higher pay, free snacks, free parking, relaxed work-life balance

Cons

Inept, ignorant and inexperienced leadership over many years (not just the new Anglo folks but also the founders. Those people had no idea what they were doing and were more focused on feeling liked than making (any) decisions. The company failed because leadership had no interest in actually succeeding, they got their huge salaries (CEO made over $500k in salary alone) and rode the gravy train until bankruptcy. They hired people who fit the bro culture and honesty or anything “negative” that differed with their idealistic view was punished. Rank and file people were mostly smart and dedicated but leadership promoted incompetent people so nearly all managers were yes men who made the right friends but couldn’t lead a team or put together a robust concept. One time the original leadership did a “pulse check” survey and actually presented a complaint about “frat like culture” while laughing and then told people to set up their own work events if they didn’t like the booze filled parties sponsored by the company. Unsurprisingly there were several sexual harassment cases that were also covered up by leadership as they continued to hire abusers.
