Pros

Great pay and benefits, amazing people, lunch and snacks, virtuous mission!! They used to be great, now they just mid

Cons

What's the deal with most of the execs? Some of them are clueless or too rude. And middle management? Don't even get me started. For people and planet? No, you are doing it for the board and investors, be straight about it. You could be better if you actually lived company values. Since the former CEO was let go, transparency tanked. They preach diversity and inclusion like crazy, but some of their actions tell a different story. It's mostly all talk, no walk. Same with this whole "empowerment" thing. They say they want us to take charge, but then leave us out of important decisions especially if you are not a white dude. And don't even get me started on the favoritism. It's like who you know, not what you know. Plus, they keep laying people off, including many experts and some of the best colleagues I had, which just piles more work on everyone else. It's getting ridiculous

Pros

Higher pay, free snacks, free parking, relaxed work-life balance

Cons

Inept, ignorant and inexperienced leadership over many years (not just the new Anglo folks but also the founders. Those people had no idea what they were doing and were more focused on feeling liked than making (any) decisions. The company failed because leadership had no interest in actually succeeding, they got their huge salaries (CEO made over $500k in salary alone) and rode the gravy train until bankruptcy. They hired people who fit the bro culture and honesty or anything “negative” that differed with their idealistic view was punished. Rank and file people were mostly smart and dedicated but leadership promoted incompetent people so nearly all managers were yes men who made the right friends but couldn’t lead a team or put together a robust concept. One time the original leadership did a “pulse check” survey and actually presented a complaint about “frat like culture” while laughing and then told people to set up their own work events if they didn’t like the booze filled parties sponsored by the company. Unsurprisingly there were several sexual harassment cases that were also covered up by leadership as they continued to hire abusers.
