Pros
- The leadership here is really great. Easily the best team of people I have ever worked with in my professional life - Even though the company has been around for like 15 years, it feels like a start up. - The team is super supportive and really wants everyone to succeed. - The work/life balance is really strong, this is one of those salary jobs where they trust you to do your job and actually mean it. - The product itself is strong and that makes it easy to sell. - Career growth and development is something First Orion actually does and does well. They mean it when they say there's a promising career path for everyone here. - The people team is fantastic, some of the kindest souls I've ever worked with. - Compensation is usually strong, and they are very transparent about pay, raises, and how to get to where you want to be.
Cons
- There is a weird tension between two departments on the sales team that doesn't seem to be getting better. - First Orion is in the process of seeking out some investment funding so it makes the next 6-12 months look a bit gray but their goal is for it to not impact us, and I do genuinely believe this when they say that. I'm optimistic for the future, but this will not be definitive until the funding cycle is complete. - A lot of the staff is remote or hybrid so it can cause issues when there's something urgent and they won't reply - Some roles pay notably below market averages but this isn't a widespread problem
