Pros

Remote Work Flexibility: FPS embraced remote work, offering the chance to maintain a healthy work-life balance and eliminate the constraints of a traditional office setting. This arrangement allowed me to stay productive while accommodating personal commitments. Industry Passion: Being part of a company that operated in an industry I truly enjoyed was a significant perk. This alignment between my passion and profession fueled my motivation and engagement, leading to a genuine sense of fulfillment in my role. Client Interaction: The opportunity to interface directly with clients was a valuable aspect of my time at FPS. This allowed me to understand their needs firsthand, adapt campaigns accordingly, and build strong professional relationships that contributed to positive campaign outcomes.

Cons

Inconsistent Management: The management practices at FPS left much to be desired. Frequent changes in company direction and strategies created a sense of instability and micro stressors that trickled down to the entire team. This inconsistency often hindered our ability to focus on achieving long-term goals. Communication Gaps: A significant drawback was the lack of clear and timely communication from the management. Vital information, like the evolution of the role and team's direction, was frequently shared after the fact, leaving the team feeling disconnected from the decision-making process. Mismanaged Feedback: Instances of sharing constructive feedback were sometimes mishandled. I experienced firsthand an incident where management asked for public comment via a Zoom meeting. I shared (respectfully) how greater communication transparency was needed from management. This request for open communication led to public criticism, rather than fostering a supportive and growth-oriented environment.

Pros

Extremely supportive and kind team. I've only been with the company for a few months, but I've been pleasantly surprised by how welcoming everyone is, and how willing to help both other writers are, managers, and other team members. I feel comfortable voicing any questions or concerns I have with others. I also like that the company makes it a point to give weekly "kudos". So far, everyone I've worked with has been very open to feedback as well. I also appreciate the degree of structure at FPS. I know the chain of command, I know which SOPs to refer to, and I don't find myself wondering what I'm supposed to be doing.

Cons

Benefits could be better, like covering health insurance completely, more time off, a home office stipend, improved 401K match, that kind of thing. I've worked for companies of similar sizes that offered those benefits, so FPS is a bit behind in that way. Some of the training packets were a bit out of date, and some were redundant, so they could use a little sprucing up.

Pros

Remote work is the main benefit.

Cons

If you’re looking for a workplace where your effort is invisible, your workload keeps expanding, and the promises made to you are never kept, this company fits the bill. Layoffs happen regularly, with leadership insisting each round will be the last, only for more cuts to follow. Every time that happens, the remaining staff are expected to shoulder extra responsibilities without additional pay. Training is practically nonexistent. Promotions or raises, if they ever materialize, come without proper support—so people are set up to struggle. Instead of investing in growth or quality, management simply piles on more clients than anyone can realistically handle. Concerns about the workload are brushed aside, and there’s no regard for boundaries or work-life balance. The expectation is that you’ll just keep going “for the team,” with no real end point. The result? Overextended employees, unhappy clients, and a product that no one is bothering to evaluate for quality. Leadership avoids accountability for how poorly things are run, and it’s disheartening to watch a team with potential be squandered by bad decisions. The pay doesn’t come close to making up for the stress, the lack of respect, or the constant burnout. The environment is toxic, colleagues’ critical reviews seem to mysteriously disappear from public sites, and there’s an overall sense that shady practices are at play. The only silver lining is the remote setup—but that perk doesn’t outweigh the rest.
