You get to work with cool animals and some of the employees are motivated

The owner is extremely toxic and employees have been belittled for taking care of other pets outside of work, loved ones needing medical attention, transgender rights, seeking help for depression, issues with alcoholism, basic medical issues and many others. The work environment itself is always extremely toxic and no matter what you do there the owner will find a way to put you down. The owner belittles customers behind their back and will treat them like idiots on a regular basis. Its only a matter of time before a customer decides to leave because of the owners actions and then the employees are forced to deal with the fall out of losing a customer. The owner is also very much a closet racist and very prejudice towards the LGBTQ community.
