Leadership does truly care about the wellbeing and health of employees. Will work with you to help you balance work & life if unavoidable disruptions come up. No micromanaging - once trained, you will be able to own and control your daily tasks and priorities. You will also have freedom to brainstorm potential improvements in processes and tools, since leadership is open-minded and eager to adopt the best options. Everyone here works hard and the environment is contagious.

Cons

Small company, so there is no room to offload or hide from your workload.

Pros

Fitabase has a small team of very capable developers that are never afraid to use the latest in software development. The environment is open and friendly, taking the ego out of code sharing and bug resolution. It's a developer-forward company with no problems discussing heady problems together to find the best solution.

Cons

Living on the bleeding edge means lots of learning and sometimes battling with bugs outside of your control.

Pros

The company culture is positive and supportive. Every member of this team, past and present, has been upbeat, energetic and hard-working. Nobody around here passes the buck. Work-life balance is not just a buzz word at this company. There is no expectation or pressure to work more than a normal 40-hour work week. Leadership listens and responds meaningfully to employee feedback. When changes in company practices or policies are suggested they are thoughtfully considered and generally acted upon. Leadership has a deep understanding of the importance of keeping technical debt in check, and that work is consequently regularly prioritized and addressed. It is fantastic to get to work with a modern, cloud-based tech stack. The company invests in employees learning new skills and technology, and there is often the opportunity to work with new or cutting-edge technology in the regular course of work. The system is kept well-maintained and stable, so any after-hours emergency work is very infrequent and usually easily resolved. The work is meaningful and the customers are inspiring. Every member of the team, from the very top, really cares about the customers and their experience and success, not just the bottom line. It's refreshing and adds to the overall positive environment.

Cons

Flexibility and willingness to occasionally work outside of the traditional bounds of your role are necessary due to the small size of the company.
