Pros

Get experience on your resume.

Cons

-Managers have aggressive and inconsistent goals. They always use phrases like "stepping up our team" but are not willing to step up the pay -Disorganization and inconsistent procedures are leading to people working 50+ hours a week -If the higher-ups mess up, they always blame it on lower management and mark you for termination -Upper management using toxic phrases such as "You are overpaid" and if you set boundaries you are seen as not a team player -If your teammates work 45+ hours and you don't, you are seen as lazy and marked for termination -Have seen coworkers log in at 10:00 at night working and punish you if you don't do the same -Miscommunication and tools used in the job keep breaking but expect the same results no matter what -Micromanagement is rampant and a lot of mistakes are being made -Every week we need a "Big effort", which could have been prevented if the higher-ups stopped fighting and playing games.

Pros

-Hands-on, bought in Executive Leadership. There are 2 Founders, including the CEO, still leading the company. C-suite is transparent, direct, responsive, empathetic and always willing to help. This goes for any employee that reaches out -Top Tier investors like a16z and Tiger Direct -Products make a tangible impact on society, improving the safety and security of the communities that Flock supports. There are countless stories per day involving preventing shootings, recovering stolen vehicles and missing children, returning the elderly to their families, apprehending criminals who started forest fires and more -Optimal hiring profile, focusing on kind, gritty individuals that do not let the definition of their roles get in the way of success, are highly responsive and just want to be successful. It is impressive that Flock has maintain this culture at scale -Career development is a focus area. Leaders ask their employees about their goals and present realistic career paths proactively, as does People Strategy

Cons

-Flock is fast paced and constantly changing. New products, new markets, etc. If you are not energized by running towards a challenge in an environment focused on building, not maintaining, this may not be the right culture for you

Pros

Good mission statement, poor execution

Cons

All you need to know about the sales culture at Flock is the best rep who hit 300% in Texas, who presented at the all company flock forward event, couldn't even last a full 6 months in a NY territory and bounced! You could be an all star rep, and if you are not lucky enough to be handed a territory in TX, CA, GA or FL, you have 0% chance of hitting quota. Total company, maybe 20% at best, is hitting quota this year. Sales Middle Management is completely out of touch, no direction, dont do this only to be told to do this 2 months later. Not one has ever sold the product, zero help on deals. They praise and highlight TX and CA deals as if the success was indivudal contributor driven. Add in some good micro management, boilerroom environment, no room for growth or advancement, and there you have it. Marketing is helpless in the onslaught of constant bad publicity or generating actual leads. More major cities are being pressured to axe their flock cameras because marketing cant get the truth out to the public! No 401k match!
