Pros

You get a startup-level degree of freedom and direct impact on the business that you simply won't find in a corporate environment. No micromanagement. If you want to grow into a new direction, the opportunity is there. Many roles are still being created as the company scales, so you can genuinely carve out your own path. The team is very international, open-minded, and genuinely kind. There's no toxic internal politics, which is refreshing. Management is approachable and available when you need them, always willing to find the best solution together and flexible to accommodate. The market (drone technology for confined spaces) is dynamic and fast-growing, which makes the day-to-day work exciting. Regular team events, both company-organized and spontaneous get-togethers, keep the culture alive. And if you love technology, you'll feel right at home.

Cons

If you're used to a corporate environment where HR manages your career path and promotions come automatically with tenure, this isn't that. There's no predefined career ladder. You have to actively push into the direction you want to grow. That's a feature for self-starters, but it can feel unstructured if you expect clear, handed-to-you progression.

Pros

A few genuinely kind and competent colleagues who do their best despite the circumstances.

Cons

Flybotix faces an unusually high employee turnover, which is a strong indicator of deeper organizational issues. The company culture is marked by favoritism, a lack of structure, and unclear management practices. If you're looking for a startup that values people, structure, and professional growth, this isn't it. There are many red flags here. Best to stay away. Employees are regularly asked to pay out-of-pocket for expenses that clearly fall under company responsibility — something that should never happen in a professional setting. Management often talks about fairness and flexibility, but those values are not reflected in actual decisions or treatment. The overall work atmosphere is tense and demoralizing. Unrealistic goals are set with minimal resources or support, creating constant stress and dissatisfaction. The leadership tends to micromanage rather than empower, all while promising the opposite. The product is unstable and not ready for serious deployment. Technical quality and strategic direction are both lacking, which makes it hard for the team to succeed. Senior leadership frequently communicates in a misleading or overly optimistic way, especially to the board. Many key decisions are based more on personal bias than on objective criteria.
