Pros
The flytedesk team works harder than any group of people I've ever met, and they do it with all the kindness and understanding in the world. They challenge and support you in pushing yourself to do things you never thought you could do, and I've always felt heard and valued by everyone on the team. Not to mention the fact that it's rare to find a group of people who so genuinely and deeply care about a seriously noble cause: bettering college media's future (also, during election cycles, supporting democracy in the process)! And as former college media kids, they're helping make that a reality by going out of their way to ensure that both college media outlets *and* national buyers receive the best possible experience. Working for them is an unparalleled joy as they've always provided a seriously fun "start-upy" environment in which 1) there's patient guidance 2) it's easy to grow in (if you're willing to put in the work). I can't say enough positive things about this company; working for them was without a doubt the single best decision I've ever made.
Cons
I don't see this as a con, but because I think this section is required, working for a start-up is hard work. You have to be self-sufficient, a quick learner, able to power through a lot of late nights, and willing to roll with whatever is thrown at you. But the benefits are well worth it.
