Pros

Previous pros would be: work from home and flexible work hours (leadership stated 3 months ago there would be no return to office policy and then last week rolled out a return to office policy effective in less than a month) and a social culture (huge layoffs and the remaining good people either quitting or planning to quit has shifted the social element of work a good bit)

Cons

Leadership cannot maintain goals or values consistently for more than a month. Leadership cannot make promises with things related to work/life balance, salary, titles/promotions, company direction, organization structure etc. and actually keep them. Leadership has consistently lacked all communication skills and any transparency. Salary increases across the company are expected to fall below inflation and have taken several months to actually hit employee paychecks (as of posting this, they still haven't) while the company was able to 1. pay for most members of leadership to travel US, Europe, and Asia 2. pay for a full page print ad campaign in the NY Times (we're an online marketing company?) 3. pay for a a custom beer in our company name at a brewery local to one singular office. Benefits like medical, 401k, and stock options has been an absolute nightmare. HR struggles to do the bare minimum of their job and are terrible at communicating. From the top down, this people management team lacks all accountability. I would not recommend this company as a place to work at this time.

Pros

- Their portfolio of clients you have the opportunity to work on is great for building relationships and resume - Some people you work with truly care and are making efforts to make Flywheel a better place to work - Great place to grind it out if you want experience quickly. They will throw you in the fire from day one.

Cons

I say "used to be great" as in pre-Omnicom. - Leadership is very out of touch with what actually goes on at middle management and lower levels. They used to care about the work culture even with many remote employees. I've been on calls where senior leadership would promote working in the evenings or weekends and only talk about how employees are not "client obsessed" enough. - If you show them you're dependable, they will exploit it and not compensate you appropriately. - There is so much turnover and they bring in former employees from dying agencies that bring in different strategies that are not aligned with Flywheel's best practices (onboarding is nonexistent - you will be put on a client day two). - They got rid of most benefits that motivated people to stay and lowered the pay ranges for their positions. Benefits are on par with standard Omnicom. There's a reason why employees who excel at their jobs have all left/are leaving. Everyone who works there can see it. Turned into another company that tries to duct tape a slowly dying engine.
