Pros

Competitive pay and employee benefits are strong. Perks include office snacks and modern furniture like electronic standup desks.

Cons

Micromanaging, debilitating and toxic management behavior. There is a lack of respect and confidence in employee’s ability to make decisions that stem from leadership. It is difficult to please management as their needs change often. Multiple people in leadership with conflicting directives to employees—little communication amongst each leader before requests are made, so work also requires investigative skills to make sure the ask is actually still required. That said, management will continue to want more: more work, more hours, more roles you can take over. No respect for employees’ time off nor family life. Time requested off or vacation is often disrupted with Slack messages and emails asking for work to be done or where work is located. There is an underlying expectation to answer messages at all hours of the day/night. A high-pressure environment with little reward at the end of every hurdle. HR is CEO’s wife—in other words, HR "department" is a useless source for actual employee issues.
