Pros

Great products, great people, great customers. The entire company works "virtually", so there is no time lost in commuting to and from the office every day, plus FIT can hire the most talented and dedicated people anywhere in the world.

Cons

You have to be disciplined enough to work from home and do the job.

Pros

Forum Info-Tech is a diverse company with a great working environment, people, processes, and leadership. The top and middle management here are all professional, organized, approachable, kind, and easy to work with. If you show initiative and follow through, and you want to work on a certain thing, they will let you work on it and give you the training and tools to succeed. If you show up, do your work, and take ownership of tickets and projects, this company will mostly let you self-manage, work remotely, and have a somewhat flexible schedule. There are always some frustrations in tech support but the experience of working in a good environment makes up for that. Great company with plenty of awards and recognitions, and their accolades are well deserved. If you like the MSP business model and environment it would be hard to do better than FIT.

Cons

MSP work is stop and go, where you might have to work on several different types of projects and clients every month, week, or even day. It can be hard to dive back into a project after several months of not being involved. This isn't for everyone, especially if you want to be a specialist and focus on being very good at a few specific things. Working with many different clients inevitably exposes you to some sour apples, or inadequate budgets to meet customer expectations. But this is not unique to FIT, it's just MSP work in general. If I could improve one thing it would be overall documentation, especially when stepping into a project for the first time. But this is often not necessarily the company's fault as there are unique politics and histories to every project, customer, and technician.
