Pros

Decent Salary, leave, sick-days and care for your physical health

Cons

bad staff training, with a very heavy reliance of online training videos with a very outdated, tedious learning program, instead of re-enforcing the information given in these online lecture via engaging staff, staff are quizzed by upper management like school children and graded. an intense hierarchic; I was told off for speaking casually to people above the area manager on multiple occasions and even told (passively aggressively warned) that "I would never be so gusty to speak like that to certain people in the hierarchic", gutsy behavior apparently being asking them how's then day been going and making pleasant small talk and asking them about various aspects of the company that seemed like information I should know.

Pros

-Diverse and inclusive -Free gym -My immediate team is great. They're supportive and really seem to care about our wellbeing and morale -Casual dress code

Cons

-It's retail, we're on a sinking ship and have been for the last decade with slow turnaround -Took away additional hybrid day despite no actual need to be in office (4x a week) in which we sit on video calls with remote teams -Compromise safety during severe weather despite area school closures -FREQUENT layoffs (have been 2x a year for the last several years) -Below average compensation (I've been told by previous management that it's lower by thousands of $$) -HR will say one thing in writing to avoid outrage then follow a completely different directive -Work life balance used to be more flexible since CEO takeover -Frequent promotions for senior leadership but few for those in the lower levels
