Pros

Exposure to a large variety of situations and access to senior leadership. Good stepping stone and place to start your career when you have little expectations. not a place to stay long term. Working hours are good.

Cons

Very poor management and no clear sens of direction. Expectations are not set properly. Unnecessary layers of management with some managers that are overworked and other that are not doing anything at all. The tech is old and the industry is cheap. I don’t think I ever got excited about the tech (appart for Adaco which is old but at least it’s powerful). C-level stuck in the past and not open to diversity. Diversity is not a priority. The company is managed by white men in their 40’s-50’s and it shows throughout the business’s mentality. Poor culture - very political and based on how many pints you drink at the pub. A drinking culture at work is not a good culture. Values are not lived, they are stuck on the wall.

Pros

Very few pros come to mind, there were some great people on the individual contributor level I worked with across multiple teams however many left or are on their way out.

Cons

This is a highly toxic and disorganized work environment. Leadership’s lack of knowledge, direction, and experience is apparent. When I started, leadership was disengaged and disconnected to everything. I noticed there was a sudden and obvious change in leadership’s approach where “urgent” asks from above were being requested with little to no context. Unrealistic and changing expectations started being communicated as the norm. This caused confusion, chaos, and burn out, resulting in extremely low morale across teams. Concerns and feedback were either ignored or people were penalized/suddenly terminated for speaking up. Lastly, it doesn’t go unsaid there is no work life balance or professional boundaries here. This is a work environment that sets people up for failure and can have a serious impact on overall well-being.
