Pros

Fourth Wall Events is a very successful and growing company where the success and growth of the company is not only due to its great product but to its one-of-a-kind management. Both owners of the company truly care for each employee. They care personally and professionally and are always looking for ways to support your success. Management has a non-restrictive open door policy, meaning they welcome any issue an employee may be dealing with. The support from management and the expert leadership from our directors make Fourth Wall Events a great company to learn and grow at any experience level. Also, the NYC office was just completely renovated and reflects the creative company that we are.

Cons

FWE is not for everyone. A lot of people want a job where they are only involved in their department, are not at work to make friends, want to collect their paycheck and give a slight nod to the receptionist on the way out - You will not find that here and we are very upfront about it. This is a highly-functional family of professionals that understands that you will spend just as much, if not more time with your co-workers than your family during your professional career. With knowing that, we are relentlessly positive team members that make each other’s work environment welcoming, supportive and friendly. Our biggest “con” is that there are some people who do not want to work in this type of environment and it leads to them being unhappy in a sea of very happy people.

Pros

- Rapidly growing small business that has infinite potential; a very different structure from other companies in the industry - The group interview style for potential candidates lets us hire people who will mesh well with the culture of the office. I can say that we almost hire more for personality than anything else and if you are a hard worker and great fit for the company, the company can adjust to put you where you need to be, grow with you, and present new opportunities to fit what you excel at - I have seen this company grow from 4 people to 25+ people, and we've had the same growing pains that any other company would have in this process, but every single person in this office has your back. We do great work. Anyone will stay up with you all night if needed to make the team successful. - This office is not about ego. It is not about what one person does. This is about what the team does. - The owners of the company truly care. They care about developing employees to the fullest potential. They care about employees as people. I've seen them set up an employee's wedding receptions, deliver supplies to an employee's home destroyed in storms, close the office to help an employee move, and go out of their way to make sure that they are supporting us like family. If someone is getting the job done, there is a lot of flexibility here to be able to take care of your family and your personal needs.

Cons

- We are a rapidly growing small business and this means that we can be very busy and are always trying to find balance and a good level of employees to service business - During our busy seasons, we tend to not be able to spend as much time with each other as we would like - whether that is in or out of the office. - Sometimes job descriptions change once someone is hired. But I think that refers to what I mentioned above of truly hiring for personality and making the job fit the person (to some extent). This can be as much of a positive and it can a negative.
