Pros
A good place to get in on the ground floor if you work hard but have no experience in the field (immigration or legal in general). Overtime available along with raises up to twice a year. Most lower level employees are younger but sharp. Hybrid work schedule (2x office, 3x WFH per week). 3 weeks of PTO plus holidays. Office making strides with better DEI initiatives and social community.
Cons
Workload is almost always overwhelming and work/life balance is a low priority for most. Partners (and some attorneys) are only concerned with profits and completely out of touch with how swamped their teams are. Pay is not ideal AND you have to pay for parking downtown when coming into the office ($12/day, 2x week). Partners really pushed return to the office 2x week even though the majority of the office was fine being fully remote. Turnover very high, which places more pressure on long-term employees to constantly cover while finding replacements and then training replacements.
