Pros

The company provided a very good benefits package, especially for such a small firm. The founder seemed sincere about wanting to share business successes.

Cons

While the company did provide generous time off, there were always increasing restrictions about how that time off could be used.

Pros

The best thing about Frause was the people who worked there. Most of the staff was friendly and fun to work with. The work is challenging and you'll be able to grow your career rather quickly with increased responsibility. The benefits package (healthcare and PTO/sick) is fantastic and hard to find at other companies.

Cons

For years the company had been going in a downwards spiral due to disagreements between upper management. This problem has recently been addressed and newcomers should see a 180 change in the company culture. The agency was previously too focused on driving revenue and not focused enough on the well-being of its staff and the clients it serviced.

Pros

Frause provides some good benefits and the salary is good. There is one member of upper management who really listens to concerns, takes them seriously and attempts to resolve the issues.

Cons

In the past, Frause has been ranked one of the "Best Companies To Work For in Washington State". However, I felt I would have to compromise myself in the day-to-day work environment and the few good perks were not worth it to me. My position was a new one with the company. At the time I was hired, I outlined my vision for the position and upper management was excited about what I could do for them. I was even told that I "would have the autonomy to create the position the way I saw fit". But when I tried to execute the vision I had communicated, it turned out that I had no autonomy whatsoever, in fact was micro-managed, and got push-back at every turn. Also, there is a real disconnect within upper management that causes inconsistency and a lot of politics. I did not feel supported in my position and I did not feel I could trust my supervisor. I was the only person she managed, and I'm not sure how much experience in management she had. Frause says that they want every employee to leaving having felt this was the best place they ever worked. That was not my experience at all. This may be a good place if you are young and easily manipulated. But if you have some experience and your own ideas, this is not the place for you.
