Best company I've worked for so far, but still has its problems - Maintenance (Unspecified) Freudenberg Group Employee Review

Pros

Pay well, management seems to genuinely care. Safety is taken very seriously.

Cons

Can be very inflexible with regards to improvements and is backwards technologically in a lot of ways. Certain people in management need to retire to open up to some fresh perspectives. Managers can be sometimes too involved and micromanage. Another review mentioned opportunities to other parts of Freudenberg, but I'm not sure that applies to my division yet.

Pros

Stable company with broad global reach. Front office jobs not demanding, hybrid schedules and low expectations lead most to be 30-35 hr weeks.

Cons

At first this looks like a positive: you’ll notice that many employees have tenures of 15,20, 30 years. But that leads to a lot of group think and insular behaviors. They actually have a common statement among employees - “you’re not a Freudenberger unless you’ve been here 10 years.” Not exactly a welcoming statement to new employees. If you’d like to have your input and thoughts ignored for a decade, this is the place for you. Convinced they have great technologies, but in market terms, average technology at best. Horrific infighting between divisions. Management meetings resemble Klukluxclan meetings in terms of diversity. Pay scales below market, 401k match very weak
