Long hours but love my individuals

Long hours on some of the days

This career isn't just any regular job. It gives me purpose outside of my own daily life. To know that I'm helping someone to be as independent as possible is such a rewarding thing.

I find that, in general, the Healthcare industry is so desperate for staff that they tend to overlook the "red flags" and do a lot of quick hires. The majority of them only work with us for a short time. We need to be more aware when completing the hiring process. Our individuals need security and to get that they need peaceful, stable and attentive staff. Most of our individuals do not react well with change. With the turnover rate being as high as it is, in this industry, that can leave our individuals feeling abandoned, angry and out of control of their own living situation.
