Pros

Flexible hours and good benefits

Cons

No upward mobility. Non-profit grant based work, so with canceled NIH grants... no more money/work.

Pros

Team culture is supportive, inclusive, and collaborative, creating a psychologically safe environment. The company offers remote work, a flexible schedule, and good benefits, which contribute to a healthy work-life balance. Senior leadership was receptive to new ideas. I developed a presentation on my own initiative to help bridge the communication gap between the data management center and the external collaborators in the broader clinical trial network, and to bring visibility and foster understanding of all the work done on the back end of the clinical trials, creating a smoother and more respectful development process. Leadership not only supported the idea but made it an official project. It’s worth noting, leadership vision does set the tone here and is closely followed throughout the organization, so prospective employees should feel aligned with the direction leadership sets. Overall, the company provides an excellent opportunity to get your foot in the door in clinical data management to learn the basics and build meaningful experience in the field.

Cons

As a nonprofit, the pay is on the lower side and can be a challenge to sustain long term, for a single income household.
