Pros

None that even begin to balance out the cons.

Cons

Fuzion is the blueprint for a toxic work environment. High turnover, favouritism, bullying, gossip, poor work-life balance, micromanagement, and toxic positivity are ingrained into the work culture. Abusive behaviour such as gaslighting, manipulation, and frequent unconstructive/combative criticism is not uncommon from senior management. Not a favourable workplace for women due to misogynistic behaviour, including highly concerning comments from senior management surrounding maternity leave and working mothers. Extreme micromanagement and time-tracking practices with an abysmal performance measurement system and bonus structure. Mediocre overall compensation (no health or pension benefit of any kind). Zero diversity within the workplace. Poor work-life balance.

It is very disappointing to read this review which is clearly written by someone who for whatever reason has had an experience that has not worked out for them. A lot of what is said here is very unfair and untruthful, but I will address some things that have been levelled at us: Toxic environment - as well as creating a positive place for us all to work and enjoy at a very practical level we know that a toxic environment is terrible for business. Furthermore, each person is responsible for their part in that environment. Work/life/balance - there is a culture of normal working hours and not beyond that. We actively discourage anyone even emailing etc beyond normal hours. This person has not mentioned the Fuzion Fridays where we all finish early once a month to share a meal together, not have they mentioned the bonus day off for your birthday or the birthday presents, or the team days where we stay in fab places and let our hair down, The team is 60% female and the leadership team is 60% female - misogynist behaviour would never be tolerated by anyone. Maternity leave/working mothers - this is a very bizarre accusation. Mothers to be, mothers returning to the workplace and existing mothers are all treated with respect and allowed every accommodation for their family circumstances, while at the same time running a business and looking after clients. Time tracking - our product is our time and this is what clients pay for. Recording the work the work that we do and who we do this work is quiet normal is any business like ours. This normal procedure is outlined clearly to each and every single person at a contractual stage. No one in the team is exempt from recording their hours. Micro-management - the last thing anyone in our team wants to do is to micro manage anyone. However, we do work to a very high standard and we will not make apologies for this. We will train our team, make them better professionals and yes, ensure that work is to a high standard. Maybe there is a reason this particular person who doesn't feel that recording their hours is necessary may have been micro-managed Performance management - we operate a continuous 360 appraisal system and we also have a bonus system, which rewards performance generously. Health and pensions - we do not have a health insurance scheme (we are nota multinational) but we do operate a voluntary pension scheme whereby we contribute to that persons pension. Zero diversity - we have a team of 20 people with a healthy mix of genders, sexual orientation and nationalities. Our bottom line is that we want great people succeeding with Fuzion and enjoying the benefits. To the person who took the time to write this piece I would request that they would be truthful about their experience as well as the terms and conditions of working with us. To anyone reading feel free to contact any of our team and ask them about working with us.

Pros

Work from home with option to work from office once a week.

Cons

I am writing as a former employee with several years’ experience in my chosen field. My review is based on sustained exposure to Fuzion’s culture and practices over an extended period, not a short-term reaction. Culture and leadership The culture at Fuzion feels structurally toxic and, at times, misogynistic. Senior leadership rely heavily on micro-management, passive-aggressive communication and tactics that could be felt as bullying. Heads of department either lack the authority or willingness to challenge this, which means problematic behaviour becomes normalised and can occur daily. Teams at all levels in the company are over-worked and operate in a constant state of anxiety and stress. Pay, benefits and contracts Base pay is low and inconsistently aligned across peers. A target-based bonus is positioned as an important part of total compensation, yet after the first year, targets are pushed to a point where they are effectively unreachable, so the promised upside rarely materialises. Annual increases are minimal and depend on staying long enough in an already unstable environment. There is no meaningful maternity scheme, and people who take maternity leave or become unwell may risk bullying, being sidelined or effectively replaced. Contract wording and sick leave policies appear designed primarily to protect the company, and minimise the rights of employees. In a high pressure company such as Fuzion this leads to constant burn-out. Performance management and expectations As an employee, you should expect structured feedback and clear performance metrics. Instead, results align with how well you are perceived to live the company’s “values”, rather than on your measurable contribution, leadership or strategic impact. Feedback tends to be one-way, and disagreement is discouraged. Success is defined by compliance, rather than by sustainable delivery, quality of work or long-term outcomes. Work–life balance While you will be told you only need to work your contracted hours, staff are particularly exposed to conditions necessitating long hours and constant availability. The reality is a strong pressure to “dig deep” and go “above and beyond” and “#winhappy” is key to this. This makes it extremely difficult to maintain any genuine work–life balance and contributes to stress and burnout at all levels. Turnover and treatment of staff There is very significant turnover, including more than half of senior management and many other staff in a relatively short period. Official narratives almost always frame leavers as being “not a good fit” or “not suited to agency life”, with no serious reflection on the issues driving people out. In practice, many employees, at all levels, experience being undermined, overworked, belittled, gaslit or bullied by the owners. Those who raise concerns or challenge decisions often find themselves managed out. Gender dynamics and public behaviour From what I have observed even on this platform, women receive a disproportionate share of blame when things go wrong, while leadership rarely accepts responsibility. In some instances, former female employees and prospective employees have been criticised in public blog posts, which feels unprofessional, misogynistic, and creates a chilling effect on honest feedback. Overall As someone with some experience before I joined Fuzion, I found a major gap between the positive, polished image Fuzion promotes and the reality of working there. If you are considering a role, I would strongly recommend probing hard on culture, support, autonomy and turnover before accepting an offer, especially if you value respect, psychological safety and a sustainable career.

Pros

Most days are wfh so you don’t have to be physically present in the toxic environment

Cons

Misogynistic, toxic, bullies. Extremely underpaid, less than the legal minimum wage Considering the majority of the company is women the SLT support the misogynistic behaviours. If you don’t fit into the clique they will be sure they’ll do what they can to make you not last long.

It is very disappointing to see someone with a clear gripe anonymously posting factually incorrect information repeatedly on this platform. For anyone interested in Fuzion, maybe instead look at the long serving team at Fuzion and contact any of them on LinkedIn and ask them what it is like to work here. We work extremely hard at creating a positive atmosphere for everyone to enjoy, to advance their career and to do rewarding work for our clients. Sometimes agency life does not suit everyone, but we do paint as accurate a picture as possible to ensure employment with us does work out well. We want everyone on our team to #WinHappy
