Pros

If you are a junior software engineer you can expect some decent mentoring and guiding in your career development. There is a dedicated education program which you can use to develop your professional skills and profile. For the most part there is a good working atmosphere.

Cons

Once you get to middle management you will get stuck and its really difficult to accomplish anything. No clear responsibilities, and many of the people in middle and senior management like to keep the status-quo and be surrounded by yes-men. While the company preaches how much it cares about its employees, its all a facade - neither HR nor senior management show genuine care unless it benefits them somehow. Swiss colleagues, including management, can be judgmental / prejudiced of employees from other locations.

Pros

Good for students and interns, the learning curve is steep at the beginning, you can learn a lot from good professionals. You can ask anyone everyone will help and tech you. Lots of fringe benefits like food in restaurants, gym, cell phone per 3 years and cell phone subscription.

Cons

The salary is lower compared to competitors, as a senior there is nothing more to gain. Lot of people on that position leave because of that, lowering the morale. In short good for newbies and not so good for seniors.
