Pros

Pay, consistent work, some of the benefits

Cons

The way the pay scale is structured. Doesn't matter how much experience you have, you get paid the same as some one with no experience. Which leads to them thinking they can train anyone for any job and expect the same results as the experienced guy. The "cliques" are bad at the plant I am at. People are allowed to be lazy because of it. There is no accountability for anything. Production damages a loader? Nothing happens. Quarry does it and you best believe you're getting pee tested and held accountable. They want to pee test for every incident. Dude slipped on ice and they sent him for a pee test. They are more about the budget than anything else. They state they are about safety, but that's only if it doesn't effect the budget too much. Constant mechanical issues due to management not wanting to spend money on anything due to the budget. And how do they get their bonuses? On how much money they have saved. It's not smart. Running old equipment that beats up the operator because they don't want to spend money to get better ones. Meanwhile, our competitor down the road can while making cement at twice the cost we do. Doesn't make sense unless you are more worried about the budget. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. And advancement? Ha! None of you aren't in the clique
