Pros

Management truly cares about the positive business outcome, from employees, through corporate contractors, and ending with interpreters. Your voice is not only heard, but your ideas are also acknowledged. In other words, working for GLOBO is quite rewarding. You are not only challenged but also forced to think outside the box and wear many hats daily. Everyone cares about improving communication when it matters most and has the betterment in mind when working towards the common goals.

Cons

Nothing I can think of except quite frequent personnel changes

Pros

There is wonderful communication with coordinators and fellow interpreters.

Cons

As a contractor sometimes it can be difficult to have consistent hours but if you let the coordinators know they are more than willing to help.

Pros

I applied for a Burmese interpreter position after GLOBO posted that they were hiring. When I tried to apply, the system said my application was already on hold and instructed me to contact the recruiting team. The recruiter replied that he remembered our previous 30-minute Zoom interview from 2025. During that interview, we discussed compensation of $0.55 per minute for connected call time, which I understood was acceptable. However, after the interview, I never received any follow-up and was left without any update. When my application was reactivated, I was told the current rate was only $0.29–$0.35 per minute, which was significantly lower than what I understood we had previously discussed. As someone with over 8 years of professional Burmese-English interpreting experience and an ALTA Advanced Plus certification, I found this offer unreasonably low. What I found most frustrating was that after telling me the company could not meet my compensation expectations, the recruiter continued asking me to schedule another Zoom meeting without first addressing the compensation issue. I declined because I didn’t want to spend more time in meetings when it was already clear we were not aligned on pay. I understand that compensation can change based on business needs, but candidates also deserve professional communication, timely follow-up, and respect for their time. Unfortunately, that was not my experience.

Cons

Low paid, unprofessional. I don’t recommend here
