Pros

GOAT is a progressive and inclusive company that really values individual contributions from its team and highlights where valued contributions are made. The compensation is very good, benefits are at a good level and the leadership are always looking at ways to increase team engagement and enablement. The people really make GOAT stand out and I am proud to work with this team

Cons

The fluctuations of the global economy sometimes make for a challenging work environment. This is outside of the company's control though to a large extent. Working across different time zones also takes getting used to but is entirely manageable and the overseas departments always find a way to make this work.

Pros

- The first couple of years were great. Fun team, smart people, super fast pace, and exciting work day-to-day - A lot of promise and potential for growth, in 2020 we hyber-grew and it was so fun - Strong teammates who supported each other - I was genuinely excited to tell people I worked here in the beginning — the vibe was young, trendy, and cool

Cons

If you’re considering joining, be aware: this is not the same GOAT it once was. If you had asked me a few years ago, I would have raved about this company, but the vibe and energy that made it special are gone, replaced with instability, layoffs, and poor leadership. Do your homework before signing on if you get an offer. Innovation stalled toward the end of my tenure. Most of the work shifted to maintenance and it often felt like we were just “keeping the lights on” Multiple large layoffs recently :/ I won’t pretend I know how to run a company, but in my view, the executive team is too young and inexperienced to scale effectively. It showed in their decisions, and they often came across as stubborn and dismissive of feedback that challenged their “vision” Just short-term, reactive moves and constant cost-cutting Equity doesn’t look promising; I don’t expect it will hold much value in the foreseeable future You basically get your base salary and that’s it. Perks are minimal to nonexistent. No real people-focused experiences, but I guess you get free shipping.. lol
