There’s a lot of favoritism here. Only those employees that are friends with managers can get promoted. They state that you must be in your position for a certain amount of time before becoming eligible for a promo, however the favorites get promoted after a few months.
The culture is very toxic - there’s a lot of tension and competition between team members and teams. It’s hard to get things done when you feel like you can’t collaborate with cross functions.
High turn over - the company is growing quickly but there’s a revolving door of employees every month.
PTO - the company line is “unlimited PTO” but that only applies to the favorite managers. Some managers take 10+ weeks off per year which would be amazing if it applied to ALL employees. As soon as you take 4+ weeks off, managers start to regulate PTO requests and claim it’s an optics issue if you “take too much time off”. People are burnt out and need their time off.
