Pros

While working here for (too long) I learned what to avoid for the remainder of my career. This company has a poor business plan. The owner of the company is a misogynist and is straight up disrespectful. This company exemplifies everything I hope for no one to experience in their working career.

Cons

Paychecks are ALWAYS late. Wages are low. Forget about getting your expenses back (and you have to expense things because the company doesn't have enough credit to charge things for you.) Benefits are hit or miss (insurance isn't always paid, and employees are not notified.) This employer also likes to low-ball salaries for young people because he knows they come cheap. Senior staff is knowledgeable in a pigeon-hole sense - they've been doing the same thing for so long, they don't actually know much that is new to the industry. Senior staff does not train new employees. Rips off clients with insane billing hours - clients should not be charged for 50+ hours of photocopying because the printer broke nor should they be charged an hourly rate for a learning curve!

Pros

Very laid back environment, people typically aren't continuously on your back about things.. you can come and go as you please, if you wanna work 8-4, cool. 7-3, 9-5, that's ok too.

Cons

Pay schedule isn't consistent. It's semi-monthly pay but you often actually get your check 8-10 days after the 1st/15th of the month. No direct deposit also sucks.

Good for early experience in a variety of aspects (technical and even legal aspects) Lax work environment and dress code Learn the ropes of a lot of engineering projects around the NY area, especially transfer stations and other facilities

Cons

Pay is never consistent and is somewhat below average for starting salaries Finances are extremely dicey in general Sometimes there will be periods of very little work to do
