Pros
The work-from-home policy is very accommodating, which is great for employees with families, or those who have a long commute into the city. Also, unlimited vacation time! This environment is much more stable and placid compared to other game studios. It's a 'roll in at 9:30, take a 60 to 90 minute lunch with your work buddies, head out at 3:30' kind of place. You will never crunch or work overtime at this studio.
Cons
This company has the worst culture and the least effective leadership of any organization I've ever seen. It is hard to tell whether the executives are being directly malicious, or if they are simply unbelievably incompetent. Morale on the game development teams is terrible and turnover is high. The technology is very dated, so engineers will not have much room to learn or grow. Kingdom-building and fortress mentalities are commonplace here, and there is zero accountability for poor performance. As a result, the work environment is completely toxic. The hostile attitudes are highly contagious and result in the organization becoming incredibly slow and ineffective, due to the complete lack of trust between teams.
