Pros
Full of really smart motivated people who care about the mission. Influential in field. Great benefits for non-profit. People can be intense/Type A, some over-qualified for role (competitive).
Cons
Culture depends on leadership and team - some parts toxic (but not different from any other huge organization). Organization restructures very frequently, so employment security could be volatile but others have stayed there a very long time.
