Bad experience - CNA Generations Healthcare Employee Review

Pros

Usually we have all the supplies necessary, like linens and wipes.

Cons

When I first began working, I was told I'd have X days of having 5 patients to adjust before getting the normal 8-11 patients, but the older CNAs pressured me into having 10 my first day because someone called out sick. The director even noticed that I had 10 patients and didn't stand up for me despite the fact she was the one who promised I would only have 5 my first day. I thought it'd be a one time thing, but for the rest of the week the other CNAs told me since I already had 9 patients anyways, I should continue to get more patients. Of course, my first week was miserable because there were a lot of things that would come up that I didn't know and I wasn't familiar with everone yet, which would slow down my work and make patients upset with me. Management is also really pushy with trying to get you to cover other shifts or doing overtime when they're short. In general, I liked my coworkers, but since we're always understaffed unless management was worried about state coming in, a lot of times I had to wait a long time to get help with 2 person things like hoyer lifts or rolling over the really heavy people. Occasionally, when it gets REALLY busy, expect to not take your lunch until really late or in some cases, not at all.
