Pros
- The sprint campus has some amenities that are convenient
- Non-management employees are good people
Cons
All management is out of state and is detached from day-to-day events. Work is slow, inconsistent and plain. The code base is poorly written by mostly junior and intern level developers with little oversight/mentorship.
This company profits on having as many employees as it can get away with. Employees at every level of the company have strict timekeeping and can only record "billable" hours. This gets sent to the parent company to be paid out at a higher rate then what gets paid out to you. This becomes a problem for you when not enough work is available (common) and "general" hours must be recorded. At this point, upper management will encourage employees (in private) to lie about their time.
If you are a contractor do not trust what this company says about conversion rates. Others and myself (from different contracting companies) have gotten the same treatment at conversion. You may be offered less than the agreed rate when it's time to convert and you have no choice but to accept. The CEO is unwilling to budge on this. In the words of the CEO- "This is between you and the Company. And I am the Company."
