Pros

Started as the Manufacturing department of AMD this foundry has world class technology (i.e. 32nm already in mass production) The company is growing and is investing billions of dollars in new infrastructure tools technologies and employees on many sites around the world There are (still) many well trained and motivated Employees

Cons

Esp. after the merger with Charted, a very bad working style emerged. - The management style went to a nearly army-like style of command and obedience. - Long and tedious escalation procedures to very high management levels for even the smallest things. - The lack of realism. Even if Data already shows that a target is impossible, it will not adjusted (or if only to set it higher to recover from the impossibility - Work Life Balance is very bad. Long working days, on weekends work from home is expected. The Global Orientation of the company sounds good, but many inter-cultural problems arise from that fact. My personal feeling is that the Singapore culture is transferred to the German and US-parts of the company .

Pros

Very supportive team and management to work with from the beginning. Many training classes need to be taken in moving forward to align with the company policies and technical procedures. Good benefits and competitive salary. Have a very positive plan for long term career and educational support tuition. The interview and hiring process are long but informative and responded promptly.

Cons

There are many training classes to take so it may put more stress on a new hire if you do not have a good plan.

Pros

Everyone is willing to help and the training is actually good training

Cons

If I didn’t know someone that worked since I was going to overnights I didn’t really meet anyone on my team except my manager once. Also I wouldn’t know who to reach out like manger wise if I didn’t know someone who already worked here
