Pros
If you are a Golfer or want to learn, free use of the simulator to practice on your own is nice. You will usually end up working with a cool group of coworkers who all came to the company wanting to do their best.
Cons
You will interview and it will all make sense at first, a small company that looks ok on the surface and is looking to grow and expand, you will feel like you have a true opportunity to make your mark and grow yourself within the company, I'm sorry to say, but that simply is not the case in my perspective. I'm not a disgruntled employee, I gave notice and moved on to new employment but was compelled to at least let there be some sort of public record of what many people experience during their employment with GolfManhattan. So I will just state what I feel anyone looking to join this company should know from my experience working there for more than a year and what I wish I had known before investing any time at all in this company : 1. Employee Turnover rate is extremely high, the shortest turnover I witnessed was someone who came and went in less than 3 weeks. There's a reason for the high turnover and most new employees will start seeing signs of that reason from day one, if you dont believe me do your homework and pop in one day and just ask a current employee about the company and just watch the instant disgusted look on their face. 2. There's little professional protocal or ladder for growth--meaning, generally you work at a company and you may start at the bottom then get promoted to lead or assistant mgr or mgr, there is none of that at GolfManhattan so if you are looking for a company that has a system in place that gives you a fair and honest opportunity to grow professionally and financially, you wont find it at this company, all decisions are made by one person who you may find to be one of the most difficult persons to work for. 3. Lastly, most importantly and what was one of the major factors that influenced my decision to leave was towards the end of 2015 the company began being consistently late paying employee wages, so you would expect to be paid on pay day then one day passes, two days pass and you have not heard one word as to whats going on or why your pay is late and all the employees are asking one another to see if anyone got paid-the latest i received my pay after the pay date was 10 days late--i didn't get an apology an explanation or anything --to me, that is the WORST violation an employer can make towards an employee, creating a sense of insecurity of whether you will get paid when you were suppose to and that's what happened to me at GolfManhattan. I can deal with some BS because every company will have something but dealing with bs AND not being paid on time was the final straw. The company COULD be a wonderful place to work in every way but unfortunately its not there yet in my opinion and its def not somewhere you want to invest time into if you are an ambitious person who has the skills and determination that would actually get you somewhere at some of the more respected companies out there, if you still decide to take a chance and work at GolfManhattan keep in mind its never going to be more than just a job, but good luck getting paid on time.
