Pros
I thoroughly appreciate the opportunity I was given working at Goodspeed Opera House on the Year Round Production Staff. I met and worked with reputable artists from across the country. Learned a great amount about how the regional theatre world worked and was able to get a ton of hands on experience. Also Donna Lynn Hilton stands out to me as a huge pro.
Cons
At the time I was with Goodspeed, there were a lot of people who had been there what seemed like forever. It was lovely to have this familiarity and a sense of being able to return to the 'good ol goodspeed' however, for newcomers such as myself there was a lot of resistance to positive change. A lot of this is the way that it is. No arguing with the way it has always been done. And thus also gave no opportunity for growth even within the same role. I also experienced some incredible negativity from a lot of the long term
