Google Cloud Sales culture is NOT the same as Google's culture - Customer Engineer Google Cloud Employee Review

Google Cloud is not a "great place to work" as overall Google is, and Google Cloud Sales is the worst part of Google Cloud. Highly political culture, mid-managers add little value and have little control, very few promotion opportunities and even the few opportunities are not so merit-based but more based on "who you know". Top management usually comes from Microsoft (the old guard, pre-Nadella) or Oracle, so do expect that kind of culture. Overall is an average place to work, not bad for sure, but far from the generic reviews that the rest of Google gets
