Pros

I've only been working for them for a month, but so far so good! I am semi-retired and was only looking to work a few hours a week. So far I have found Grade Potential to be a good employer. They found work for me right away and have always been available if I had any questions. It feels good to help kids gain more confidence in subjects they've been struggling with, such as reading.

Cons

Grade Potential does not train you to tutor. They just ask you to tutor in subjects you feel confident in. If you and the student's parents feel you are a good fit for one another, that is all it takes to keep that tutoring position. Then, once you find out what your student's academic needs are, it's up to you to figure out how to help them. Some tutors might wish they had more help or guidelines in how to tutor but others might be fine with figuring out on their own how to help the student.
