Pros

The company has a fantastic vision and sales pitch, and one can easily be persuaded by their siren call. Offering a single platform to broker Infrastructure from any cloud provider, learn one admin console, and forget the rest. There were some fun people here, and the marketing team team and devops where great. Interestingly these groups had a strong American culture, where as the rest of the company is very Indian. If you're looking to work for company with a strong Indian culture in Austin, this is the place for you.

Cons

Management are jerks, and not particularly approachable, this is true for the CEO down. The company has a very strong Indian culture, perhaps Brahmin culture, where ideas from hirelings are not respected, and there is very much a we know best attitude. There is a dictatorial management attitude. Product quality is poor, and generally non-functional, this may have been partially address, but there is a long way to go. The user experience was horrible, and very much an after thought. There may be a work from home policy but it's generally not respected, it would be the exception rather than the norm, and is generally frowned upon. Including for roles, like sales, where been on the road is normal.

Pros

It's a very collaborative environment where everyone works very hard and takes great pride in their roles. Everyone around you is smarter than you are, so you're constantly learning new ideas and skills. The leadership and management are very experienced and have a pretty strong strategy for company direction and product innovation. Office hours are quite flexible and we all have the ability to work remotely anytime.

Cons

The company is expanding so fast that they've outgrown their current office space, so the work areas are a bit cramped right now. New employees only get 2 weeks of paid personal time off, which includes both vacation or sick days (no separate sick leave).
