Pros

I had a great experience working with Moises, Eric, and the Gulfstream team. They took an interest in me and my family’s situation and shared feedback, provided reminders, and helped me through the hiring process. The only downside was it took around 6 weeks, but now I have better job security, pay, and benefits and I’m happy they were able to help.

Cons

Interview process took longer than I expected.

Pros

I had a great time working there as it was my first big step into the recruiting world, I learned a lot about recruitment tools and tools which I didn't know existed. The work culture was great and it was very team oriented. I could not have asked for a better place to work. The job was not really hard as Gulfstream SP gave me plenty of support to get ready for the task ahead of me.

Cons

In terms of cons I would say probably dealing with the ups and downs. In recruitment you're going to have some amazing weeks, but also some bad ones. You'll have weeks where nothing goes your way. So if you want to be successful as a recruiter, you need to have some mental toughness and be able to hand the bad weeks along with the good.

Pros

On the surface the company seems great. There are only two positives. 1-The flexible start time (You have to be there before 9:30 and work "around" 8 hours) 2- Casual dress- flip flops, jeans and T-shirts

Cons

Where do I begin.... 1- VERY small work space. You're practically on top of each other 2- Extremely negative management style 3- It's typically frowned upon to take a lunch 4- There are only a "few" good clients. Take that with a grain of salt. "Good" doesn't mean anything. Don't expect to get paid on your invoices for your commissions. Some take over a year to come in. NOT reliable. 5- there are no checks and balances. The owner is in charge of all HR, Accounts receivable, and training. 6- No recruiting guidelines. No ownership of candidates. Once you present a candidate be prepare to lose it immediately. The list goes on....don't be fooled by the opportunities for advancement. Won't happen

Gulfstream Strategic Placements Response

Thanks for your review. Disappointing as it was to read, I take our employee’s satisfaction and suggestions seriously. 1. GSP employees work remotely because of the stay-at-home order in CA, but a modified work-from-home scenario is likely to continue to give employees added space and autonomy. 2. I am saddened to hear this. 1/3 of GSP employees have received promotions and pay raises. We provide snacks, lunches, games, birthday celebrations, holiday bonuses, among other benefits. Contrary to your comments, we have had spouses, extended family members, and friends recommended to us by our employees as well. 3. This is surprising given the flexible work schedule mentioned in your pro comment. Regardless, in our remote work environment, breaks are quite easy to take. 4. GSP values ALL our clients, however, recruiters are also encouraged to bring in new accounts as well. Commissions are immediately provided once payment is received. 5. GSP has an outside attorney, accountant, and bookkeeping service. We are planning to add an HR representative, which will be made available to all employees through ADP. 6. Training documents & videos are provided to guide new hires. Ongoing training is provided weekly. I am truly sorry that your employment here was dissatisfying, but hope you find yourself happy in your new job. I wish you the best in your career and personal development. Best wishes.
