Pros
Great team, fine enough work, great sense of camraderie
Cons
I’ve never worked under leadership that is so wilfully contemptuous of its workforce. There is a distinct lack of respect for employees below the line, particularly those in junior roles and especially towards female members of staff. This is well documented and one of many words of warning that are passed onto new team members when they arrive. There is a general assumption from leadership that the employees are “lesser”; their professional opinions on their craft are discarded offhand, often in favour of a definitively worse alternative. Bullying from the director is commonplace and good luck going to HR - it's his wife. This creates an oppressive culture of survival, with each new day presenting another opportunity for the leadership to micromanage, coerce and manipulate their workforce seemingly for their own amusement. Opportunities in this space are hard to come by, but my experience here has proven that some opportunities are just not worth the therapy bill.
