Pros

-Great creative team and amazing people to work with -A mix of office and outdoor work for crews -Regional WA, interstate and overseas travel -2-3 week Christmas/New Year break -Full time employment at a production company

Cons

-Monthly pay cycle -TOIL is the only option for doing overtime or weekend work (no option for payment instead) -No extra pay/benefits for remote or weekend work -No TOIL/compensation given for overtime under 10 hours (but only paid for 8 hours). Expect to work 2 hours of unpaid overtime every day on trips, as the days are most often scheduled for 10 hours. -Maximum 8 hours air travel claim each way, even if it takes longer -Driving from office to filming location and vice versa is not considered as "working" -Employees' annual leave is expected to be used for closing down period over Christmas -Weekend work is expected and occurs often -Work from home available only for select employees -Very minimal training provided for new/promoted employees -Redundancy and resignation of employees occurs more than usual -Leave requests often get rejected, especially in busier periods -Parking spots given to select employees, others have to park in 1-2hr zones on the street -Intense shooting schedules for crews, most often between 2-4 stories per day and often between multiple locations (this would be okay if given extra time off to recover when filming often)
