Pros

Some people are very nice and some benefits and things you receive and get to keep. Life work balance is okay most of the time, although they have a 24h reply policy and anyone can message you on weekends and vacations and they will expect a reply. You might get to travel sometimes, but you always have to share a room with someone else and might need to cook and serve food

Cons

Micromanagement, disrespect to employees, partners, and customers, no industry standards (own language, job description means nothing), ancient tech (skype). They use own tech for day-to-day and it crashes all the time. Lack of support and manpower. The CEO likes long calls at odd times where he makes everyone listen to his rants about politics and tell you how to live your life the Hansa way. Everything in this company is his way or the highway, always. No diversity, no respect, sexism and misogyny, politically correct language is frowned upon. Some words are forbidden to use but not the ones you'd think. The N-word is perfectly ok, but you cannot say ''festive'' for example. Go figure.. Pretty sure he has also been involved in several sexual harassment lawsuits

Thank you for sending us your feedback. I’m sorry that your experience with us did not match our goal of creating a collaborative and inspiring environment for all our people but we constantly search ways to improve. It was nice to hear that you met great colleagues here. We are proud of our smart and friendly international team living on all continents except Antarctica! And thank you for mentioning that life work balance in HansaWorld is fine. We put a lot of effort to balance our people's private challenges and work requirements especially after being pushed to fully remote working during the pandemics. But let me address a couple of your specific concerns. Socialising is very important for us and we believe that cooking together is a great team building activity. As you probably noted everyone is asked to share in this activity when attending some company events. This means that managers and juniors alike get to work together, know each other in person and develop a better level of communication. We do use own ERP system that we sell to the customers for our daily work. We trust our product and also believe that we are the best testers of the newly released versions. Before a new product version reaches our customers, it goes through the scrutiny of our employees. Of course we find bugs and issues that sometimes disturb smooth workflow but we are happy that such issues get caught before reaching our customers. HansaWorld has company language and vocabulary which allow our international team to communicate more efficiently. We also have Communication Handbook for the same purpose. And yes, we avoid using the phrase “Seasonal Greetings” in our company because we believe it does not take much effort to learn proper festivities in different cultures and send personalised congratulations to colleagues. Thank you again for your feedback. I would just wish you were more proactive in sharing your doubts with your manager or HR, so we could support you. If you would like to speak more about your experience, please contact me at hrhelp@hansaworld.com and we will set up time to talk.

Pros

Get to travel, meet great ppl from around the world

Cons

The CEO needs his ego stroked at all times and gets jealous very easily - always needing to be the main character in the room. Narcissistic, sadistic and animalistic in his nature, if you possess certain qualities he lacks, he will automatically hate you because he feels his intelligence compromised. Get ready to be demeaned, insulted and screamed at daily because he will try to break you down until you leave.
