Pros
HSTK is a close knit team for a fully remote company, and everyone is very open and welcoming to new team members. It has hubs in Indianapolis and Phoenix, and the local teams get together frequently for happy hours and other activities. They also bring the team together twice a year for all-company events. Work/life balance is highly encouraged and supported by leaders. Pay and benefits are great, especially for a company this size. Until HSTK, I've never worked at a company where every team member, no matter how junior, actually had a voice that was heard. We're encouraged to work on improving our skills and knowledge, share what we've learned with team members, and make improvements to internal processes and job responsibilities when possible. Team members are even given the opportunity to explore new roles within the company. We also get to work on a lot of interesting projects for nonprofit organizations and entrepreneurs, so the work is rarely dull.
Cons
It's a small team, so you might have to wear multiple hats and juggle responsibilities. However, it's a great opportunity to learn something new, and you may even find yourself drawn to a new role you wouldn't have considered previously.
