Cons
Where do I start? From the moment you join CHDA there is no guarantee of long term employment. You leave job security in order to start a new role with multiple exit points during training. It costs them thousands to hire & train you, but they’re very cut throat & will terminate your contract immediately (without pay) despite there being a 2 week notice period du during your 6 month probation. The constant audit is overwhelming. The goal posts in terms of quality, what information is needed and how you need to word things are constantly moved. This happens without there being adequate time for staff to adjust; this isn’t taken into consideration & feedback is always negative and demeaning. Your ability to make your own clinical judgement is taken away from you; although YOU have carried out an assessment, three people could read your report and critique it in 3 very different ways. Auditors make it up as they go along, and what is deemed right or wrong changes depending on which way the wind is blowing that day. Trying to keep up with the constant changes, write detailed reports that are of a high “quality” and meet targets is impossible, and it’s mentally draining. This jobs destroys your mental and physical health. You’re not cared about and are just a number at the end of the day. They pretend to care about your mental health and wellbeing, however it’s all a complete lie.
