Pros

An Interesting Concept and Certainly a Niche area to work in.

Cons

From the first day in Health Care Informed (HCI), my experience was highly stressed, highly pressured, hypocritical, unsupportive and most importantly unrewarding. A culture of fear and anxiety which rolls downhill and creates a panicked sense of perpetual urgency causing unnecessary stress and fatigue among staff. A confused management structure in which you may be answerable to 2 to 3 managers at a time with conflicting requirements and timelines. There is an continuous disregard for employee welfare in this company and its impact on employee morale across the organisation is evident. There is a high turnover of staff and a lack of willingness to address the underlying issues of staff retention within the organisation. You will work to the point of burnout with HCI with no acknowledgement for your efforts or appreciation. There are plaques on the wall indicating openness and fairness in the workplace but practice is far from it. The bonus system is non-transparent and will leave you feeling undervalued and overworked. The CEO will change the criteria on earning this from what is stated in your contract (personal performance) to what he feels like on the day (company performance). When leaving with notice(contracted 6 weeks) you will be treated as an outcast. The system appears designed to undervalue the staff during employment and disown them for moving on.
