Good place to work for a short time - Mechanic Helicopter Support Employee Review

This is a large, clean facility with continuing growth. Management still seems interested in making the mechanic's ergonomics a priority to facilitate higher performance and lower overhead.

There are many checks and balances that seem to complicate the mechanic's job. It seems that nearly every step in the repair or overhaul process requires inspection by Quality Assurance or approval by a Lead man.

I worked at HSI for a number of years and found the management staff to be competent and willing to promote its employee based on performance. Great opportunity to work in a flexible work environment with the 9/80 work schedule including outstanding tuition benefits!

Many managers have been in their position for many many years which can make it hard to move into management positions however that has changed a bit in the last few years!
